PAUSE Adult ADHD Group

Peers with ADHD Uniting, Supporting, and Encouraging each other

Are you navigating life with ADHD? Join us at Brain & Mind Hub Sunshine Coast for a peer-led, supportive group where your experiences are valued, and your strengths are recognised and celebrated.

This weekly, drop-in group provides a safe and inclusive space to connect with others who share similar lived experience. Attend as little or as often as you need—there’s no commitment, only support.

Facilitated by a Peer Worker with lived experience of late-diagnosed ADHD, the group evolves with its participants, ensuring it reflects what matters most to those who attend.

Our work is person-led and guided by values of empathy, compassion, and inclusion. Lived Experience Peer Support services are an important, and highly valued aspect of our integrated approach. Join us to be supported in your unique healthcare experience.

What happens at PAUSE Adult ADHD Group?

Each session offers guided processes to support the group, such as creative explorations and mindfulness practices, alongside weekly check-ins and open discussions. These are always informed by the group, supported with choice, and held without a fixed agenda for a particular outcome, ensuring everyone feels included and empowered.

At PAUSE, you'll discover a supportive community where you can share, explore, and connect with others in mutuality. Together, we create a space of belonging, authenticity, and hope.

Who can attend PAUSE Adult ADHD Group?

PAUSE is open to adults 18 years or older, with a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

It doesn't matter when you were diagnosed - as a child, as an adult, many years ago or very recently - all adults with ADHD are welcome to attend.

You are not required to be a current client of Brain & Mind Hub to attend, or to have received your diagnosis at our clinic.

How to register to attend PAUSE Adult ADHD Group

Even though PAUSE is a drop-in group (meaning you can join us when it suits you and we don't ask you to attend a certain number of group dates), we do ask that you register your intention to join the group and confirm your attendance weekly.

Spaces are limited, so this helps ensure we can provide support to as many people as possible and helps us understand whether we need to make the group more widely available.

Here are some tips to make registering through our online portal quick and easy:

  1. Click the button below when you are ready to sign up. You will be redirected to our online booking portal (Zander).
  2. Select the option to "BOOK CLASS". If you are not a current client, you will be prompted to create a user profile.
  3. You'll be sent a verification code that allows you to finish setting up your profile. It may arrive in your spam folder.

  5. Select "See availability for all Providers"

We pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the Land where we learn, live and work, the Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) people and Jinibara people. We acknowledge the Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise that they have been living and healing their communities on this land for many thousands of years. In particular, we note the leading role of First Nations women who are the custodians of sophisticated knowledge, community organisers and beacons of wisdom. We recognise the spiritual connection the Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) and Jinibara have with the land, water, sky and sea and we extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

TBMH welcomes and supports people from the LGBTQIA+ community and those who identify beyond the binary.
