We know that many people seeking mental healthcare have experienced challenges in accessing the right service and navigating pathways to treatment.

There’s no ‘wrong door’ to access our services

Our ‘no wrong door’ policy means that we are committed to finding a way to support every person who reaches out to us for help. 


Whether this means working with you to provide treatment and support through our range of services and programs, or we help you find the right support via one of our partner providers, if you reach out to us asking for help you can be assured that we will hear you and help.

We know that the language we use matters

Communicating with you respectfully and sensitively is one of our top priorities, so we provide options that let you to tell us the best way to connect with you – such as your preferred name or pronouns, how you want us to contact you and stay in touch, or if you have special needs or accessibility requirements – to ensure you feel comfortable and at home whenever you are with us.

We believe accessing mental healthcare should not be complicated

Navigating mental health support has traditionally been a challenging, lengthy and disheartening process for many. 


We have recognised the need to respond differently to people in need and ensure we have the capability to deliver effective and safe mental healthcare to our community. 


Our centralised triage and intake process and ‘no wrong door’ approach ensures that everyone has easy and equitable access to our services no matter their situation.


All referrals, whether self-referred or referred by a medical practitioner are reviewed and triaged to a suitable service stream.

How to get support

We’re here to help you get started today. Our approach is underpinned by a "no wrong door" policy, guaranteeing that everyone has access to mental healthcare. Moreover, we prioritise maintaining minimal waiting lists, understanding the importance of receiving timely support when it's most needed.

How to book your initial appointment

If you are new to BaMH and do not have a referral

If you’re new to BaMH, please register your details via completing our online intake enquiry form. We will request some basic information from you to get a general understanding of your condition before arranging an appointment. We offer a completely secure digital service for registering, managing and booking appointments, so all your information will be stored in the one secure place once you’ve joined.

If you are new to BaMH and have a referral

If you have a referral, you can upload it with your online intake enquiry form. Or you can email it directly to us at admin@tbmh.org.au. We will be in touch with you shortly to arrange the next steps.

Online bookings

Direct online bookings are currently unavailable for new bookings at BaMH.

What to expect at BaMH

Peer Support Navigator

Throughout your journey with us, you'll have access to our team of lived-experience peer support navigators who are here to assist you in navigating your appointments, help communicate with your multidisciplinary care team and empower your overall experience at BaMH. This service is entirely optional and available to you at any time.

Your Mental Healthcare Journey

Each treatment journey is completely individualised to the person seeking support and the services they engage in. 


  1. We accept self-referral (you must have an existing General Practitioner) and referrals from a medical practitioner.
  2. Complete the initial appointment enquiry form.
  3. Our support team will call you to once you’ve completed your enquiry form to discuss your next steps. 
  4. You will be paired with a suitable specialist and your first appointment with a will be booked.
  5. (Optional) You will be connected with a Peer Support Worker to help navigate your treatment journey. 
Online bookings

How to manage your services

We understand the importance of easily accessible and streamlined mental health services. We are committed to continuously enhancing your experience by offering efficient booking, management, and access to our services. While we are in the process of launching digital portals to further simplify these processes, our dedicated team is here to assist you every step of the way.

Existing people accessing services at BaMH

If you are currently receiving support at BaMH, or have used our services in the past, you can contact reception via phone or email to book appointments. Please ensure your referral is up to date if you are wanting to claim a Medicare or third-party payments.

We are excited to announce that we are in the final stages of developing user-friendly digital portals that will revolutionise how you interact with our mental health services. These portals will provide convenient online booking, appointment management, and access to valuable resources. Keep an eye out for updates as we prepare to launch this innovative platform soon.

Pre-book appointments via reception

To facilitate your access to our mental health services, we encourage you to pre-book appointments by contacting our reception team. Simply reach out to our reception team via phone, email or in-person to schedule your desired appointment time. By pre-booking your appointments, you can secure your preferred time slot and minimise wait times during your visit.

Access additional support resources

In addition to our clinical services, we offer a range of support resources to complement your mental health journey. These resources may include educational materials, self-help tools, and community resources. Our team can guide you in accessing these resources to enhance your well-being between appointments.
