Information for referrers and medical professionals
We're dedicated to collaborating with you to ensure the best possible outcome for individuals seeking mental health support services.
At Brain & Mind Hub Sunshine Coast, we take a holistic, person-led approach to mental healthcare. Healthcare professionals have the option to refer individuals to BaMH for tailored services, expert assessments, or comprehensive treatment strategies.

Our services
Our specialist team provide services to all ages across the lifespan, with symptoms of mild to moderately severe mental health conditions or seeking diagnostic clarification.
The psychology clinic offers group and individual treatment for various mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, PTSD, ASD, and ADHD. Group sessions focus on education and activities to empower self-advocacy and recovery. Individual therapy uses evidence-based approaches like Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
The Psychiatry and Lifestyle Medicine clinic offers specialised diagnostics, assessments, and treatments using a lifestyle and functional medicine approach. We provide innovative therapies like psychedelic therapy, brain stimulation technologies, and neurofeedback.
At BaMH, we prioritise safety and offer a therapeutic environment for treatments and post-treatment monitoring, with specialist staff available. Individuals receive thorough psychoeducation and monitoring for safety and may access additional services for long-term wellbeing. Supportive GP care is also available to address physical health concerns, promoting overall health and wellbeing.
The Psychedelic Treatment Clinic provides ketamine treatment for treatment-resistant depression. It's for those whose depression hasn't improved with standard treatments and meet eligibility criteria. Individuals seeking care will need a psychiatrist referral. Treatment lasts six weeks, with dose adjustments based on individual needs and ongoing reviews of progress.
The TMS Clinic offers advanced treatment for depression using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). TMS is a leading treatment for depression in Europe and approved by the TGA for depression in Australia. Other conditions may be considered after thorough assessments and review by a psychiatrist. Depending on the treatment plan, daily attendance for up to 30 days may be necessary. Safety screenings and education are required at each appointment. Referral from a medical practitioner is needed.
The Neurofeedback clinic provides brain-training technology that utilises real-time displays of brain activity through the use of electroencephalography (EEG). The resulting biofeedback teaches self-control of brain functions to people of all ages and is a safe, non-invasive treatment option for ADHD.
Treatment aims to improve cognitive performance and to help regulate specific brain functions. This clinic requires people undergoing treatment to attend at least twice a week, for between 30-40 minutes per attendance. A full assessment is required prior to treatment and people seeking support may self-refer to this clinic.
