Exploring New Hope for Depression: Brain & Mind Hub in the News

The Brain and Mind Hub was recently featured on 7 News Sunshine Coast for our involvement in a global clinical trial using psilocybin to support people with major depression.

We are proud to be the only clinic in Queensland selected to take part in this research, which is helping shape the future of mental health treatment.

Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic that will be taken under professional supervision in a calm and supportive environment. This is part of a phase 3 study, which means it’s in the final stages before possible approval.

The segment also shared news of our recent approval to offer ketamine nasal spray for people living with severe PTSD. These treatments could offer new hope for those who have not responded to standard approaches.

“The evidence we’ll receive from doing this trial will support rollout of these newer treatments on a larger scale.”

Megan Dutton, NP Phd, Manager, Clinical Services.

We’re proud to be part of this important research and to be offering more treatment options for people across the Sunshine Coast.

As a clinician and researcher in the field of neuroscience and mental health, I’ve seen how a precise, multidisciplinary approach to ADHD can transform lives. At Brain and Mind Hub, we’ve developed a neuroscience-informed model that integrates clinical accuracy with holistic care—ensuring individuals with ADHD receive not only a correct diagnosis but also the tools to thrive.
