Dr Ehya Uddin is a specialist Psychiatrist with subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr Uddin is based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science (BSc) on the Sunshine Coast before undertaking his medical training on the Gold Coast, where he was awarded his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

Dr Uddin has completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Cert. Child Adol. Psych). He has experience working across the lifespan and is known for a thoughtful, calm, and thorough approach to assessment and treatment, with care tailored to each individual’s circumstances and goals.
He has a strong interest in service development and in integrating modern advances in medicine within the evolving field of psychiatry. With a strong aptitude for technology, Dr Uddin is interested in how innovation can enhance clinical care, improve access, and support safe, high-quality outcomes. He also enjoys lecturing and training, and values the role of education in developing high-quality mental health services.

Dr Uddin is committed to collaborative, patient-centred care and places strong emphasis on clear communication and shared decision-making.
He has a keen clinical interest in family and systemic intervention, anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), among others. He works closely with patients and families to ensure they feel informed, supported, and actively involved throughout their treatment.
