Join the EMBRACE Clinical Trial

The EMBRACE trial is a research study looking into a new approach for treating Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). It explores how combining an investigational psychedelic substance with psychological support, while continuing your current antidepressant may help reduce symptoms of depression.

Why consider participating in a clinical trial?

By joining EMBRACE, you’ll be contributing to research exploring a new approach to treating depression, combining a psychedelic compound with psychological support. Your involvement could help advance future treatment options for Major Depressive Disorder.

Please answer these questions to find out if you may be eligible to participate in the EMBRACE Clinical Trial. Please ensure you have read all of the information provided on our EMBRACE Clinical Trial prior to submitting your application.

Any information you provide will be stored on a secure database that can only be accessed by the trial team. Your details will not be shared or discussed with anyone else, except as required by law.

Please be aware that expressing an interest in a clinical trial does not commit you to taking part. This means you do not have to join the trial if you decide it is not right for you. Your regular medical care with your usual treating doctor will not be affected.

We pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the Land where we learn, live and work, the Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) people and Jinibara people. We acknowledge the Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise that they have been living and healing their communities on this land for many thousands of years. In particular, we note the leading role of First Nations women who are the custodians of sophisticated knowledge, community organisers and beacons of wisdom. We recognise the spiritual connection the Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) and Jinibara have with the land, water, sky and sea and we extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
